Base Salary
$87k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop application software features, enhancements, fixes, APIs, and services aligned with predefined architecture.
- Drive medium-sized features and quality improvements with measurable performance and reliability outcomes.
- Provide global production support, improve playbooks and alerts, and troubleshoot issues across application layers and OCI services.
- Define unit and integration test strategies with QA and implement testing, quality assurance, logging, monitoring, and observability.
- Design API contracts and implement API versioning, lifecycle, interoperability, integration, and service-to-service strategies.
- Analyze performance, scalability, architecture trade-offs, and coding optimization opportunities.
- Investigate customer-reported defects, provide technical guidance, and incorporate customer feedback into product improvements.
- Lead code reviews, establish development standards and secure coding practices, and maintain application systems through upgrades and patching.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional feature delivery.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of application software development lifecycle practices and application design.
- Ability to independently design software solutions, analyze requirements, debug moderately complex issues, and develop fixes.
- Experience with APIs, integrations, service-to-service interactions, software architecture, performance optimization, testing, logging, monitoring, and observability.
- Ability to provide production support, troubleshoot non-routine issues, and resolve customer-reported defects.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, software quality standards, maintenance, upgrades, and vulnerability patching.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable designs and implementation plans.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams and with customers.
