Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain full stack applications across front-end, back-end, integration and cloud platforms.
- Translate business and operational problems into practical technical solutions and challenge assumptions with stakeholders.
- Develop beta versions, prototypes and proof-of-concepts to test ideas and demonstrate value.
- Provide pragmatic cost and effort estimates to support prioritisation and business decisions.
- Develop responsive, accessible and high-performing user interfaces.
- Build scalable back-end services, APIs and integration solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and production releases.
- Explain technical concepts and proposed solutions clearly to business and operational stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong full stack engineering capability across front-end, back-end, APIs, databases and cloud.
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
- Ability to quickly iterate and deliver beta or minimum viable solutions.
- Ability to understand business problems, identify appropriate solutions, and balance technical considerations with business priorities.
- Confidence engaging directly with business and operational stakeholders and communicating technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Java, Python, Node.js, React, Angular, Vue or .NET.
- Experience designing secure, scalable integrations using REST, GraphQL or event-driven approaches.
- Practical experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, containers and cloud services.
- Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain the required Baseline Defence Security Clearance.
