Responsibilities
- Deliver practical engineering solutions in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Develop and maintain shared Java libraries, build systems, database failover capabilities, and application-team-owned business libraries.
- Address performance, resilience, scalability, and survivability requirements for large-scale applications.
- Design, test, deploy, and support resilient systems.
- Contribute to AI development tooling and evaluate emerging engineering practices.
- Provide expert guidance to the programming-language community and improve developer experience across supported languages.
- Collaborate with global engineering and application teams and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Demonstrated software engineering experience designing, delivering, and supporting production systems.
- Strong Java programming experience and fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, version control, and clean, testable code.
- Curiosity and adaptability to learn new programming languages, toolchains, and infrastructure.
- Interest in build systems, containers, and CI/CD practices; previous experience is helpful but not essential.
- Collaborative, proactive working style with ownership, clear communication, and sound judgment.
- Financial services experience is not required, and relevant practical experience is valued more than a specific degree.
