Responsibilities
- Perform complex analysis, design, and development for Data Management and OSDU platform integration.
- Define and implement reusable APIs, SDKs, and integration frameworks for accessing and managing data in OSDU platforms.
- Drive technical strategy for interoperability between desktop applications and OSDU services.
- Integrate with OSDU Core Services, including Storage, Search, Schema, Legal, Entitlements, Workflow, and Data Discovery.
- Lead integration efforts with SDDMS, RDDMS, and WDDMS.
- Collaborate with Cloud Engineering to align solutions with enterprise architecture and platform standards.
- Define data synchronization, caching, performance optimization, and metadata management strategies for large-scale subsurface datasets.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor software engineers, and promote software quality and maintainability across distributed teams.
- Participate in architecture reviews, coding standards, source control management, automated testing, Agile development, and release management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including scalable backend services using NestJS.
- Experience developing modern responsive front-end applications using React.
- Strong experience designing, developing, and consuming APIs and designing SDKs and enterprise integration solutions.
- Experience developing and maintaining desktop applications connected to cloud-hosted services.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, data modeling, metadata management, and data governance principles.
- Experience with large-scale data management systems, distributed data environments, complex information flows, and integration requirements.
- Fluent written and verbal English, with autonomy, curiosity, and a learning mindset.
- Preferred experience with the OSDU Data Platform, SDDMS, RDDMS, WDDMS, RESQML, C++, WITSML, PRODML, subsurface or geoscience workflows, reusable interoperability frameworks, geographically distributed teams, and technical leadership or mentoring.
