Responsibilities
- Lead IT architecture across projects and programs supporting the Private Wealth Business Unit.
- Drive solution architecture from conceptualization through execution for regional transformation programs.
- Define and govern target-state AWS cloud architecture, including containerized, serverless, event-driven, machine learning, and Generative AI platform components.
- Evaluate insurance solutions and emerging technologies for business areas including underwriting, claims, document management, CRM, workflow, payments, and point-of-sale.
- Govern architecture, technology standards, integration patterns, security, risk, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the architecture liaison between the Private Wealth Business Unit and Regional Office IT Architecture team.
- Conduct architecture reviews, walkthroughs, executive briefings, and presentations.
- Lead cross-functional teams in resolving complex technical problems and removing delivery blockers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 15 years of IT experience, including at least 7 years in the insurance industry focused on emerging technologies.
- Expertise developing cloud-native, microservices-based, and API-driven insurance solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, big data, and Internet of Things technologies.
- Preferred hands-on AWS architecture and delivery experience, including EKS, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Amazon SageMaker, and Amazon Bedrock.
- Strong understanding of insurance-domain architecture patterns, digital transformation, IT governance, risk, and compliance.
- Experience leading regional transformation programs and adopting agile and DevOps practices.
- Ability to influence CxO-level executives and collaborate across geographies.
- Knowledge of Singapore PDPA, architecture governance, design review boards, IT risk management, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently, resolve architectural risks proactively, and make decisions under pressure.
- Asia regional experience is an advantage.
- Ability to work in the Singapore time zone, engage regularly with Singapore and Hong Kong stakeholders, and join meetings with Canada counterparts when required.
- Willingness to travel approximately once per quarter.
