Responsibilities
- Build data pipelines supporting user input, recommendation recall and ranking, model training, and inference.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models for large-scale personalized recommender systems.
- Apply AI techniques to unstructured multimodal e-commerce data and create large-scale data pipelines and user experiences.
- Use big-data technologies, cloud services, and databases in production engineering environments.
- Drive marketplace and advertising revenue through organic and sponsored recommendations.
Requirements
- A master's degree in Computer Science or a related area with three years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with five years of relevant experience, in ML, AI, or Data Engineering.
- Production engineering and software development experience in an object-oriented language such as Scala or Java.
- Experience in applied AI research, preferably involving NLP, deep learning, and industrial recommender systems.
- Required experience with big-data processing and analysis using technologies such as Hadoop, SQL, Spark, or PySpark.
- Experience using cloud services, big-data pipelines, and databases.
