Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and innovation for a major global product area comprising multiple modules.
- Align solutions with target architecture standards and contribute to a scalable platform.
- Shape technical vision and product roadmaps in line with business goals.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, make high-stakes architectural decisions, and lead technical due diligence.
- Mentor and guide engineers building autonomous, loosely coupled distributed systems.
- Influence technical teams, executive leaders, and diverse cross-functional stakeholders.
- Occasionally contribute to code-level design or proof-of-concept development when needed.
Requirements
- Experience architecting modern distributed, cloud-based systems in an enterprise software environment.
- Experience shaping technical vision, product roadmaps, and architecture decisions.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading delivery of autonomous, loosely coupled distributed systems.
- Strong ability to influence diverse audiences, collaborate across product features, and engage technical and executive stakeholders.
- Experience with complex business domains, interface design, data modelling, and ideally AWS and API design.
- Experience delivering global B2B2C SaaS, preferably in energy or another mission-critical industry.
- Experience enabling engineering teams to use AI and delivering AI/ML-powered solutions is advantageous.
- Experience driving adoption of modern engineering practices such as DevOps and CI/CD is advantageous.
- Experience leading teams through significant changes in ways of working and ramping up rapidly in new domains and technologies.
