Responsibilities
- Design and own secure, scalable, high-performing services and guide technical decisions involving reliability, performance, cost, and AI-driven components.
- Build and modernize serverless solutions using C#/.NET, AWS, APIs, databases, infrastructure as code, containers, and monitoring tools.
- Use and critically validate AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, prototyping, and engineering productivity.
- Advise on LLM concepts, prompt patterns, ethical and privacy considerations, compliance checks, and residual risk mitigation.
- Coach peers on engineering practices and AI-augmented workflows while partnering with Product, Security, DevOps, and other teams.
- Pilot emerging tools and frameworks, integrate automated governance checks, and improve observability and incident response.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience delivering secure and scalable services.
- Understanding of LLM concepts, hallucinations, prompt sensitivity, and safe versus unsafe AI use cases.
- Experience using AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping, with rigorous review of outputs.
- Skill in prompt engineering, including designing reusable prompts and coaching peers.
- Familiarity with AI-related bias, privacy, cost, vendor lock-in, and compliance risks.
- Proficiency in C# and .NET for RESTful APIs using OpenAPI, plus hands-on AWS serverless experience.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using CDK or Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
- Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and optimization.
- Knowledge of security practices including IAM and secrets management.
- Ability to communicate technical and AI concepts to diverse stakeholders and mentor peers.
- Familiarity with Angular for collaboration on end-to-end features.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
