Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver reliable infrastructure and software aligned with strategic business timelines.
- Drive adoption of technologies, methodologies, and practices across the AI organization.
- Design and deploy cloud infrastructure for data-intensive AI/ML applications at scale.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code, REST APIs, Python software, and multimodal data processing solutions.
- Use AWS microservices and containerization technologies to support machine learning and data platforms.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers on machine learning and software engineering best practices.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, executives, and other stakeholders on technical strategy and execution.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer, machine learning engineer, cloud solutions architect, or in a similar technical problem-solving role.
- Bachelor’s degree required; an M.S. or PhD in computer science, machine learning, AI, or a related field is preferred and may substitute for some experience.
- Understanding of software engineering principles including parallel and distributed computing, version control, reproducibility, and continuous integration.
- Experience designing and deploying AWS-preferred cloud infrastructure for data-intensive AI/ML applications with attention to scale, reliability, and security.
- Experience with Terraform, REST API design and implementation, and object-oriented and functional programming in Python.
- Experience with multimodal data processing involving text, image, and 3D data.
- Experience with AWS SageMaker, Service Catalog, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, ECR, EKS, and Kinesis.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong communication skills across executives, product managers, stakeholders, and technical contributors.
- Manufacturing, supply chain, or similar industry experience is a plus.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder due to ITAR requirements.
