Responsibilities
- Lead technical planning, architecture, implementation approach, delivery sequencing, and release readiness for full stack applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
- Build APIs, streaming services, and event-driven components using Apache Camel, Kafka, and cloud-native patterns.
- Develop and optimize data models, database queries, indexes, schemas, transactions, and persistence layers using PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, JPA, and Hibernate.
- Lead frontend development using React, Angular, or Vue with Java backends and API-driven application patterns.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, design walkthroughs, and technical grooming sessions while enforcing engineering and security standards.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical coaching, pair programming, design reviews, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with DevOps to containerize, deploy, monitor, and operate applications using Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and cloud platforms.
- Define and promote unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Implement authentication, authorization, secrets management, vulnerability mitigation, and production hardening practices.
- Drive agile execution and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, reusable implementation patterns, and team knowledge assets.
- Apply AI tools to code generation, debugging, test creation, documentation, workflow automation, and engineering productivity while validating outputs for security and quality.
Requirements
- Hands-on full stack engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA/ORM, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with React and Vue; familiarity with Angular is also relevant to the role.
- Experience building integrations and event-driven systems with Apache Camel and Kafka.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and relational database design and optimization; MySQL is also referenced.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one cloud platform, preferably GCP.
- Ability to lead architecture decisions, technical execution, code quality, secure coding, and production-ready delivery.
- Experience mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and collaborating with architects, product managers, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Experience applying Domain-Driven Design concepts such as domain models, bounded contexts, aggregates, and service boundaries.
- Ability to write effective prompts and responsibly use Claude, Copilot, or ChatGPT for engineering work.
- Ability to validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, maintainability, performance, privacy, and production quality.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, including data security, bias awareness, ethical usage, and safe handling of enterprise information.
- Familiarity with integrating AI capabilities into applications, APIs, platforms, or engineering workflows.
