Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions for business request catalogues and case-management ticketing systems.
- Develop self-service portal components, including custom widgets and forms.
- Create and optimize reusable client- and server-side scripts such as Script Includes, Business Rules, and Client Scripts.
- Implement integrations to streamline onboarding and request processes.
- Prioritize out-of-the-box ServiceNow functionality and minimize customizations for sustainable, upgrade-safe solutions.
- Gather stakeholder requirements, translate business needs into technical designs, and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Support testing, documentation, deployment, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and fixes across development, test, and production environments.
- Identify process-improvement and automation opportunities while following ITSM, enterprise architecture, change-management, and configuration-management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3 years of preferred hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript, Glide API, REST web services, and Kafka streaming.
- Experience with Service Portal development, widget creation, and front-end customizations.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow Incident, Request, and Case Management modules.
- Knowledge of integration patterns including MID Server and SOAP/REST APIs, plus data migration techniques.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is required; Application Developer or Implementation Specialist certification is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, quality, security, scalability, and maintainable-code skills.
- Awareness of security and compliance standards applicable to financial-services environments.
