Base Salary

$165k - $256k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Debug and resolve complex issues across large-scale codebases and multiple abstraction layers.
  • Collaborate with engineers to measure game performance, prevent regressions, and improve launch stability.
  • Design, own, and maintain gameplay and engine systems focused on performance and stability across consoles and dedicated servers.
  • Analyze live telemetry and crash data to identify defects, prioritize fixes, and guide player-impacting improvements.
  • Build developer tools and automated content validation for artists, designers, and QA.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software development and maintenance experience or equivalent game development experience.
  • Experience working in large, shared codebases.
  • Strong working knowledge of C/C++.
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python.
  • Experience profiling, auditing, and optimizing software performance.
  • Experience debugging and supporting software running in production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: experience with live-service or continuously operated products, including feature flags, kill switches, and staged rollouts.
  • Preferred: familiarity with embedded scripting languages and engine-to-game-script boundaries.
  • Preferred: experience with content or asset build pipelines, automated validation, developer-facing tools, backend or web services, and cloud infrastructure.
