Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain functional, end-to-end, integration, API, and security-focused automation frameworks.
- Develop testing strategies for asynchronous, event-driven, eventually consistent, distributed systems and workflow orchestration platforms.
- Implement testing-in-production practices including canary deployments, progressive rollouts, synthetic monitoring, and automated rollback triggers.
- Own automated testing for authentication, authorization, RBAC/ReBAC, secrets management, and tenant isolation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and provide fast, reliable engineering feedback.
- Apply AI tools to test authoring, test planning, code review, and broader engineering adoption.
- Advise development teams on testable code structure, coverage gaps, and quality checks.
- Debug and root-cause issues across frontend, backend, APIs, and distributed services, driving fixes to completion.
- Define and track reliability metrics such as time to detect and time to remediate.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in modern web applications and distributed systems, or 6+ years with a Master's degree, or a PhD with 3+ years.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Jest, and API automation.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
- Preferred experience with REST APIs, microservices, distributed and event-driven architectures, and Temporal.
- Preferred experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, SCIM 2.0, Okta, Entra ID, Auth0, Ping, RBAC/ReBAC, Zanzibar, SpiceDB, and multi-tenant authorization.
- Preferred experience with authentication and authorization testing, secrets management, tenant isolation, least-privilege access, IDV/KYC, PII, and compliance validation.
- Preferred experience with Pact, Locust, k6, Gatling, Java/Spring Boot or Ruby on Rails, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, observability, and chaos engineering.
- Preferred experience using or building agentic tools for test generation, code review, and test planning.
- Strong root-cause analysis skills across frontend, backend, APIs, and distributed services.
