Base Salary

$150k - $234k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business, stakeholder, and technical requirements and assist with evaluating existing software solutions.
  • Develop, configure, maintain, and re-engineer software components and applications meeting scalability, availability, performance, and maintainability requirements.
  • Design and implement distributed systems, APIs, integrations, and cloud-deployed applications.
  • Administer Kafka clusters and manage Kafka topics and partitions.
  • Create automation scripts, telemetry features, technical documentation, and system architecture materials.
  • Develop test objectives and cases, execute testing, analyze defects, perform regression testing, and troubleshoot application issues.
  • Monitor application performance, availability, logs, metrics, and maintenance data, and evaluate software change requests.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related area; or a bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of these areas plus two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Apache frameworks.
  • Experience designing large-scale distributed systems focused on scalability, availability, and performance.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data structures and algorithms, Kafka cluster administration, and Kafka topic and partition management.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle activities, cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, API design and implementation, API integration, and RESTful architecture.
  • Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues, and working in Agile environments using JIRA.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks, test-driven development, clean code, and technical documentation.
