Base Salary
$139k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, build, and support large-scale or complex software systems using Python and/or Java.
- Develop AI/ML features and deploy custom-built agents to production environments.
- Own highly visible software work for Cisco IQ and deliver functionality to customers.
- Design solutions with technical leaders and principal engineers.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Lead technical initiatives across engineering teams.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and other engineering teams.
- Perform QA, testing, and debugging in production environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- At least six years of software engineering experience.
- Experience designing, architecting, building, and supporting large-scale or complex software systems using Python and/or Java.
- Experience with QA, testing, and/or debugging in a production environment.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives across engineering teams.
- Experience with AI/ML development, frameworks, and/or integrating AI-driven features into production systems.
- Preferred: knowledge of Linux, networking concepts, operating system fundamentals, and/or embedded development.
- Preferred: experience with databases, backend web application development, and web services.
- Preferred: experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: experience deploying custom-built agents to production environments.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, architecture, and engineering teams.
