Base Salary
$169k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement customer-facing data and intelligence APIs with clear contracts, versioning, SLAs, and backward compatibility.
- Design API interfaces for high-throughput endpoints, agentic workflows, context retrieval, and enrichment.
- Build service layers and context hubs over systems of record and governed data models.
- Integrate ML inference services and agentic orchestration with appropriate lifecycle management, monitoring, guardrails, and rollback mechanisms.
- Design reliable, observable, scalable services and infrastructure supporting batch and streaming workloads on AWS.
- Drive API, distributed-systems, code-quality, operational-readiness, and infrastructure-as-code standards.
- Serve as a senior architectural voice, influence platform direction, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building distributed systems, APIs, or large-scale data platforms.
- Deep experience designing and implementing customer-facing APIs as long-lived products.
- Strong knowledge of schema governance, versioning strategies, contract design, distributed-systems reliability, observability, and scalability.
- Experience productionizing ML models, exposing inference services, and designing or integrating agentic or autonomous workflows.
- Experience building service layers over systems of record or semantic data layers.
- Proficiency in Go and Python or other backend service languages.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks or Snowflake.
- Strong experience with AWS infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Preferred experience with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, and EC2; Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, Neo4j, or AWS Neptune; SageMaker; and cybersecurity, identity, fraud, or risk systems.
