Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Lead technical execution of migrations from on-premises infrastructure to AWS, including discovery, planning, execution, cutover, and rollback.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams on cloud architecture and operational procedures.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting to support system performance and availability.
- Document infrastructure architecture, procedures, and support models for knowledge transfer and compliance.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of infrastructure, operations, or SRE experience across hybrid VMware, Windows, and Linux environments.
- At least 3 years of hands-on AWS experience with EC2, EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Config.
- Proven experience migrating workloads from on-premises environments to AWS at scale.
- Strong networking fundamentals, including CIDR, routing, VPN, Direct Connect, and DNS.
- Knowledge of IAM, KMS, security guardrails, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification preferred.
- AWS SysOps Administrator or AWS DevOps Engineer certification preferred.
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate or Kubernetes CKA/CKAD certification preferred.
- Experience with AWS Control Tower, Organizations, multi-account environments, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, and hybrid DNS preferred.
- Familiarity with CIS, NIST, or ISO security and compliance frameworks and audit evidence practices preferred.
- Background in FinOps, showback or chargeback, and unit economics reporting preferred.
