Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve core tax filing and compliance modules from solution design through long-term maintenance.
- Develop and improve backend and frontend components, APIs, interfaces, and integrations for a scalable platform handling large data volumes and complex tax logic.
- Translate changing fiscal requirements and customer needs into reliable software in collaboration with fiscal experts, engineers, and product owners.
- Apply modern engineering practices, including appropriate use of AI-assisted development tools.
- Improve engineering quality through testing, refactoring, code reviews, clean architecture, and mentoring other engineers.
- Take ownership of important platform areas and help guide technical decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience with increasing technical ownership.
- Preferred experience with C#, .NET, Azure, and modern web technologies.
- Knowledge of modern web technologies such as Angular, React, or comparable frameworks.
- Strong quality mindset with experience in testing, refactoring, code reviews, clean architecture principles, and coaching others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly with complex logic or data.
- Fluency in English and ability to read and understand Dutch requirements texts; spoken Dutch is helpful but not required.
- Collaborative approach and focus on clean, maintainable code.
