Base Salary
$102k - $169k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy production-grade AI agents, workflows, tool integrations, and multi-agent orchestration systems.
- Integrate agents with UKG enterprise systems using tools, APIs, MCP servers, custom plugins, and skills.
- Own delivery of agent-powered features and projects while collaborating with product management, architecture, and engineering stakeholders.
- Contribute to technical designs involving agent coordination, task delegation, communication protocols, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Review code, maintain engineering quality, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced engineers.
- Monitor service health and agent performance using task success rates, latency, cost, telemetry, execution tracing, and decision logging.
- Support agent deployment, versioning, monitoring, lifecycle management, performance optimization, and failure analysis.
- Create automated tests and evaluations for prompts, workflows, tool invocation, tool validation, and adversarial scenarios.
- Document agent behaviors, features, fixes, operational procedures, and engineering practices.
- Evaluate emerging agentic AI technologies and orchestration patterns, including AutoGen and CrewAI.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience, including hands-on work building LLM-powered applications or agentic AI systems.
- Deep expertise in one or more of Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience building production applications with Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic frameworks.
- Understanding of agent orchestration, tool-use architectures, prompt and context engineering, ReAct, and multi-agent collaboration.
- Experience integrating software or agents with enterprise systems through APIs, tools, REST APIs, MCP, and function calling.
- Experience with software architecture, design patterns, and scalable, reliable systems developed in a DevOps model.
- Experience delivering complex software features or projects with product, architecture, and engineering stakeholders.
- Proficiency with GCP, Vertex AI, Google ADK, Azure, Azure OpenAI, AWS, Bedrock, or GitHub.
- Experience building telemetry and observability, including execution tracing, decision logging, cost monitoring, or success-rate tracking.
- Preferred experience with agent evaluation frameworks, prompt testing, tool validation, adversarial testing, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, production observability tools, and accessible technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality software.
