Responsibilities
- Design, architect, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go with attention to scale, cost, maintainability, error handling, and backward compatibility.
- Build full-stack product features using React, TypeScript, and Go.
- Define technical patterns and operational guidelines, lead complex multi-team projects, and mentor engineers.
- Collaborate with design and product partners through discovery, delivery, and customer-feedback iterations.
- Contribute to technical and quarterly product roadmaps and connect technical decisions to business outcomes.
- Own software in production, participate in on-call rotations, and address reliability and user-impacting issues.
- Communicate clearly, conduct technical design reviews, share knowledge, and help develop other engineers.
Requirements
- Substantial experience designing, building, and maintaining backend systems, APIs, and backend services in Go or similar languages.
- Professional experience delivering frontend features with React and TypeScript across the software development lifecycle.
- Experience planning and delivering complex technical projects spanning multiple teams or systems and external dependencies.
- Ability to own projects end to end, proactively address technical debt, and debug issues across the stack.
- A track record of mentoring engineers, leading technical design reviews, and raising engineering quality.
- Experience supporting software in production and participating in or understanding on-call operations.
- Strong collaboration, communication, adaptability, and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Interest in observability and production engineering culture.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor is a nice-to-have.
