Base Salary
$192k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and technical roadmap execution for scalable systems across advertising workflows, cleanrooms, taxonomy automation, and the Ads Data Solutions Platform.
- Build and harden third-party advertising integrations, privacy-forward activation and identity workflows, and measurement ingestion pipelines.
- Extend cleanroom orchestration, governance, policy enforcement, query templates, partner configurations, and secure deployment capabilities.
- Lead taxonomy intake automation and release workflow improvements across UI and backend systems.
- Drive platform modernization, developer tooling, testing, observability, cost efficiency, and future on-call/SLO practices.
- Use AI-assisted tools for design, coding, testing, documentation, and internal automation while defining reusable team workflows.
- Champion security-by-design, data governance, privacy compliance, and production-quality engineering standards.
- Mentor engineers up to L5, lead cross-team projects, align stakeholders, and drive architectural decisions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering and operating large-scale backend and data systems, with cross-team project and architecture leadership.
- Strong Python and one of Ruby or Go, plus experience building services, APIs, and third-party API integrations.
- Experience with DBT, Airflow, Spark or Databricks, advanced SQL, performance tuning, Snowflake, AWS, workflow orchestration, and event-driven systems.
- Experience with ad-tech or programmatic advertising, measurement integrations, cleanrooms, identity and matching systems, and data deconfliction.
- Working knowledge of GDPR and CCPA practices in data workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD, containers, test strategy, observability, incident readiness, and SLOs.
- Recent hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or OpenAI-based assistants, including reusable prompts, evaluation, guardrails, and privacy or security considerations.
- Clear technical writing, stakeholder management, consensus-building, and execution skills.
- Preferred experience includes UID2/TTD, Roku, PubMatic, NBCUniversal, Meta Advanced Analytics, Google ADH, catalog or taxonomy systems, entity lineage, Snowflake governance, partner data collaboration, vendor management, API certification programs, or AI-powered internal tools.
