Base Salary
$256k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the design, development, and deployment of complex distributed enterprise applications using Java.
- Architect scalable, secure, low-latency, and high-scale event-driven software systems.
- Develop and maintain technical architecture, service contracts, RESTful web services, backend and UI components.
- Design and implement web service applications using Java, JSON, REST, and the Spring Framework.
- Lead code reviews, design discussions, unit testing, continuous integration, and operational excellence efforts.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and DevOps teams on project scope, milestones, and technical roadmaps.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical direction and expertise.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in a specified computing-related field and three years of software engineering experience, or a bachelor's degree or equivalent and five years of software engineering experience.
- Experience defining REST web service contracts using Swagger and OpenAPI.
- Experience designing and implementing web service applications with Java, JSON, REST, and Spring Framework.
- Experience building and deploying applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing event-driven microservices using Kafka.
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipeline automation using Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Experience designing SQL database schemas, including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Splunk and Grafana for production logging and monitoring.
- Experience developing and executing JUnit tests for application quality, performance, and scalability.
