Responsibilities
- Perform advanced system analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support for applications and databases.
- Translate technical specifications into code for complex projects and implement automated testing practices.
- Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Integrate data sources, APIs, services, and third-party products to improve data flow and system efficiency.
- Create and maintain detailed backend architecture and logic documentation.
- Implement security, data protection, resilience, and enterprise architecture best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams on backend interfaces and technical solutions.
- Deploy applications to development, test, and production environments and provide follow-up production support.
- Participate in design, code, and test inspections, resolve escalated issues, and mentor less-experienced staff.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and backend architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or a Master’s degree/Diploma in Computer Science.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services including ECS, Lambda, and S3.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with build pipelines and deployment automation.
- Preferred experience with Go, Java, AI tools such as Claude Code, and the financial industry.
- Knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, Agile, and continuous process improvement.
