Responsibilities
- Generate data models using firmwide tooling, linear algebra, statistics, and geometrical algorithms.
- Deliver secure, stable, and scalable data collection, storage, access, and analytics platform solutions.
- Maintain critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas.
- Implement database backup, recovery, and archiving strategies.
- Evaluate and report on access control processes to assess data asset security.
- Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Databricks, PySpark, AWS, and creating ETL pipelines from scratch.
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, and storage services.
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience with object-oriented programming, Python, and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, and Autosys.
- Strong understanding of REST API development using FastAPI or equivalent frameworks.
- Advanced SQL skills, including joins and aggregations.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Jira, Git/Stash, Spinnaker, pytest, or unittest.
- Extensive statistical data analysis experience and familiarity with the data lifecycle.
