Responsibilities
- Improve the full service lifecycle from inception and design through deployment, operations, and refinement.
- Analyze ITSM activities and provide development teams with feedback on operational gaps and resiliency concerns.
- Support pre-launch activities including system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Measure and monitor service availability, latency, and overall system health after launch.
- Scale systems through automation and drive changes that improve reliability and delivery velocity.
- Support CI/CD pipelines through validation and operational gating while advancing DevOps automation and best practices.
- Participate in incident response, blameless postmortems, production troubleshooting, and mean-time-to-recover optimization.
- Collaborate with global teams across multiple geographies and time zones and mentor junior resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding.
- Required experience with Java, Unix, and SQL, including DB2 or Oracle.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.
- Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
- Interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience collaborating across development, operations, and product teams and managing stakeholder needs in urgent or difficult situations.
- Experience with Git or Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef is desired.
- Experience designing and implementing efficient CI/CD flows from development through production is desired.
- Strong communication, systematic problem-solving, ownership, adaptability, and relationship-building skills.
