Responsibilities
- Design scalable cloud-native systems on Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform for Spark analytics and AI workloads.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code with HashiCorp Terraform and build secure multi-account and cross-cloud environments.
- Optimize cost efficiency, latency, performance, and visibility for high-scale data workloads and microservices.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized data workloads and microservices.
- Implement blue/green and canary deployment strategies.
- Build automation with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and Argo Workflows.
- Automate testing, security scans, and compliance checks.
- Support architectural decisions involving cloud services and maintain a coherent configuration surface for faster, safer deployments.
- Promote DevOps principles through code reviews, documentation, shared tooling, and collaboration across engineering, product, and data teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Data Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DataOps, or Site Reliability Engineering within enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using HashiCorp Terraform or equivalent tooling.
- Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes for application containerization and orchestration.
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or the Elastic stack.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, load balancing, DNS, IAM, and security groups.
- Experience with data-intensive, AI/ML, or marketing technology platforms at scale.
- Knowledge of security principles, security best practices, and compliance standards such as GDPR.
- Experience supporting multi-region, globally distributed systems.
- Golang knowledge is a plus.
- Strong collaboration, communication, ownership, reliability, scalability, and continuous-improvement skills.
