Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Microsoft Azure services, licensing, product functionality, and Entra ID.
- Architect scalable, integrated Azure solutions based on client business requirements and operational goals.
- Gather requirements, translate them into Azure use cases, and create pre-sales solution designs.
- Deliver consulting engagements, manage customer expectations, and communicate solutions to technical and business audiences.
- Collaborate with sales teams on winning strategies, market opportunities, and additional business development.
- Create Bills of Materials and Statements of Work.
- Implement post-sales solutions, support customer adoption, and produce post-implementation documentation.
- Advise clients on infrastructure, operations, migrations, business continuity, disaster recovery, identity, networking, storage, and application lifecycle considerations.
- Estimate, analyze, and optimize resource costs.
- Participate in cloud strategy meetings, technical speaking engagements, team functions, mentoring, and development of technical intellectual capital.
- Own the opportunity lifecycle from pre-sales through solution delivery and ongoing optimization.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in IT systems development or consulting.
- At least 5 years of experience designing solutions to solve business problems.
- Azure AZ-104 certification plus 2 years of industry experience as an Azure-focused engineer.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Entra ID, particularly hybrid connectivity and hybrid DNS.
- Deep DNS experience and self-sufficiency with IaaS migration strategy, planning, and execution.
- Experience with core PaaS services including App Services, Azure SQL Database, and storage accounts.
- Familiarity with coding practices, Visual Studio Code, Git repositories, CLI tools, and scripting.
- Knowledge of cloud-native networking, VNet components, peering, private endpoints, and on-premises interconnectivity.
- Knowledge of Fibre Channel, Ethernet, iSCSI, identity, storage, application lifecycle, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows and Linux server operating systems.
- Understanding of the OSI model, TCP and UDP traffic, redundancy, and availability.
- Customer-facing experience with clear presentation skills across audiences with varying technical knowledge.
- Ability to provide customer service in politically charged environments, adapt to changing requirements, work independently, and collaborate globally.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, time management, judgment, continuous-learning, mentoring, and technical communication skills.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Cloud Computing, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
- Preferred: experience with Azure access methods, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub, DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, SIEM, SOAR, Azure VMware Solution, Azure Files, FSLogix, network virtual appliances, databases, and identity management.
- Preferred: Azure certifications including AZ-140, AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, and AZ-400.
