Responsibilities
- Own scoped feature and model delivery in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages through the full software development lifecycle.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions and evaluate technical trade-offs.
- Integrate AI and ML components and leverage generative AI tools to improve development efficiency.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, defect management, automated testing, and observability activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
- Monitor application performance and support continuous improvement for high-throughput, low-latency systems.
Requirements
- At least three years of software engineering or related experience with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or five years of software engineering or related experience without the degree.
- At least three years of solid Java experience and a deep understanding of the Spring Framework.
- Knowledge of building high-throughput, event-driven architectures with Kafka and Cassandra.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, software development lifecycle practices, debugging, code review, and scalable system design.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and using generative AI tools.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master's degree and one year of experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects.
- Preferred knowledge includes WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, digital accessibility practices, and Walmart accessibility guidelines.
- Cisco certification is listed as a preferred qualification.
