Base Salary
$230k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with demanding reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to technology communities, and drive professional development and technical standards.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration, and AWS services to build payment technology solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, extensive coding experience across multiple languages, front-end frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, observability, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, leading architecture reviews, establishing coding standards and design patterns, implementing reliability practices, influencing technology strategy, and leading large-scale cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, IDE copilots, and interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion is preferred.
