Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend and end-to-end applications.
- Build scalable microservices, APIs, and event-driven services supporting customer, product, and operational workflows.
- Develop integrations with enterprise platforms, Kafka-based event streaming, legacy systems, and relational databases.
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, build processes, deployment automation, and release management.
- Provide L3 production support, troubleshoot issues across the stack, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
- Develop secure code and support authentication, authorization, secure data handling, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Improve system performance, scalability, code quality, cloud adoption, and modernization from monoliths to microservices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Java backend engineer.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot or similar frameworks, API development, microservices architecture, SQL and/or NoSQL databases, and Git-based source control.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Salesforce, automated testing frameworks, DevOps tools, domain-driven design, and distributed systems.
- Experience with financial services or regulated environments is preferred.
