Base Salary
$166k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze simulated subsystems to identify divergences from real-world data.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate higher-fidelity models into the simulation framework.
- Engineer solutions for performance constraints and numerical integration.
- Build and maintain validation tools for measuring simulation fidelity.
- Design and execute Monte Carlo validation campaigns.
- Work across simulation environments to understand performance trade-offs.
- Identify and implement industry-standard approaches to improve simulation strategy.
- Drive fidelity strategy and mentor junior engineers at the senior level.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with C++ or Rust and Python or MATLAB.
- Experience in performance analysis and optimization of complex software systems.
- Comfort with numerical and scientific computing concepts.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex software systems from design to validation.
- Experience with automated test and validation infrastructure.
- Ability to work effectively across team boundaries.
- Desire to work on critical software with real-world impact.
- Eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance.
