Base Salary
$82k - $172k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement test automation frameworks using Selenium or Appian-native testing capabilities.
- Develop and maintain automated regression suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Create test strategies, test plans, quality metrics, and requirements traceability practices.
- Perform functional, integration, performance, security, accessibility, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Collaborate with Appian developers and business analysts to define testable acceptance criteria and support shift-left testing.
- Manage test data, synthetic data generation, and test environment configuration.
- Track quality metrics, report results to program leadership, document defects, and perform root cause analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote quality engineering practices across delivery teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or at least three additional years of relevant IT experience.
- Five years of software quality assurance or test automation experience, including at least two years supporting Agile development teams.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Understanding of functional, integration, regression, and performance testing methodologies.
- Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Appian testing, CI/CD and DevSecOps practices, API testing, performance testing, SQL database validation, security testing, Section 508 accessibility testing, or federal modernization programs is preferred.
- Scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages and quality assurance certifications are preferred.
