Base Salary
$140k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate backend features that collect, manage, and surface infrastructure data across the mission lifecycle.
- Design and implement APIs and integrations connecting tooling and data across teams and systems.
- Analyze mission, program, and business processes with cross-functional stakeholders and translate them into reliable software.
- Identify workflow and user-experience friction and deliver solutions that reduce complexity.
- Own features from design through production operations and support collaboration across engineering, operations, and business functions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python for backend engineering.
- Practical experience using Docker for containerization and deployment in scalable environments.
- Experience with backend architecture, API design, and robust database interactions.
- Hands-on experience building, operating, or integrating technologies for space missions.
- Ability to analyze complex business and technical processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and feature ownership skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Preferred experience with space mission design, modeling, or analysis.
- Preferred proficiency with Django and GraphQL and familiarity with GCP, AWS, or Kubernetes.
- Preferred familiarity with PyTest, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress and strong CI/CD practices.
