Responsibilities
- Define and own reference architectures for agentic AI, including LLM orchestration, tool use, retrieval, guardrails, evaluation harnesses, and observability.
- Build and operationalize agentic GenAI workflows with planning and execution patterns, tool calling, state management, retries, permissions, guardrails, and observability.
- Develop reusable AI/ML engineering assets, SDKs, templates, RAG components, evaluators, safety filters, memory stores, connectors, and deployment patterns.
- Lead hands-on software design, development, technical troubleshooting, and operational stability improvements.
- Lead evaluations with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical applicability.
- Drive firmwide AI/ML standards, interoperability, adoption, reuse, and communities of practice across Software Engineering.
- Establish standards for human-in-the-loop validation, auditability, traceability, and secure handling of sensitive data.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts.
- 10+ years of applied experience.
- Strong Python engineering skills and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Hands-on experience building agentic AI solutions and LLM orchestration, including prompt engineering, tool use, retrieval, evaluators, and guardrails.
- Expertise with AI/ML technologies and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Hugging Face, and RAG.
- Experience designing scalable and reliable systems, selecting technologies, defining system interactions, documenting designs, and conducting collaborative design reviews.
- Cloud deployment experience for AI/ML workloads using AWS or Azure, including reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Experience leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices and setting standards for validation, auditability, traceability, and data security.
- Ability to advise cross-functional teams, solve complex technology problems, and communicate effectively with senior leaders and executives.
- Preferred experience building agentic AI platforms and AI-driven customer experiences, plus practical cloud-native experience.
