Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the shared MLOps foundation and paved-road platform for moving AI workloads into production.
- Build production code, infrastructure-as-code, delivery pipelines, and automated environment promotion.
- Manage model, prompt, dataset, and artifact lifecycles, including versioning, registries, lineage, reproducibility, and release governance.
- Implement production model serving, endpoint management, autoscaling, resilience, rollouts, rollbacks, performance testing, and capacity planning.
- Establish observability, alerting, distributed tracing, audit logging, service-level objectives, incident response, and root-cause analysis practices.
- Develop automated AI evaluation and regression gates covering quality, latency, reliability, and cost.
- Build and operate RAG pipelines, embedding workflows, vector stores, ingestion, indexing, and data freshness controls.
- Set technical direction across teams, mentor engineers, influence architecture, and embed with consuming teams.
- Develop technical guardrails and best practices across AI governance, security, and open-source compliance.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building and operating production MLOps or AI platform capabilities in an enterprise environment.
- Strong Python and software engineering experience owning systems from design through production operations.
- Deep experience with CI/CD, GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, containerized workloads, and automated environment promotion.
- Strong AWS-native infrastructure experience, including Bedrock, EC2, IAM, load balancing, networking, and secrets management.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform or equivalent technologies.
- Production model-serving experience, including endpoint management, autoscaling, resilience, rollout and rollback, performance testing, and capacity planning.
- Depth in observability and site reliability, including metrics, dashboards, alerting, distributed tracing, audit logging, service-level objectives, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with model, prompt, dataset, and artifact versioning, registries, lineage, reproducibility, and release governance.
- Experience implementing automated AI evaluation and regression gates.
- Operational experience with RAG pipelines, embedding workflows, vector stores, ingestion, indexing, and data freshness controls.
- Understanding of multi-tenant isolation, identity and secrets integration, policy enforcement, and cost attribution for shared platforms.
- Principal-level technical leadership, including setting direction, simplifying ambiguous problems, mentoring engineers, and influencing architecture without organizational authority.
- Customer-facing communication skills for discovery, explaining trade-offs to technical and executive audiences, and building trust in security-sensitive organizations.
Benefits
- Expected base salary is $195,000 to $210,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual performance bonus; compensation figures are excluded from benefits classification.
