Responsibilities
- Design backend solutions for billing and energy-market systems.
- Scale core infrastructure for increasing transaction volumes and market demands.
- Develop and ship backend features and improvements through rapid iteration.
- Make architecture decisions, participate in code reviews, and mentor engineers.
- Build and maintain scalable billing infrastructure and market communication systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on backend development experience with recent production coding and shipping work.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, including asynchronous programming.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM-based data access such as Drizzle or similar tools.
- Experience building Next.js backend services, including API routes or server components.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and scalable, maintainable core services.
- Experience integrating Stripe payments and billing workflows.
- Strong computer science fundamentals through formal education or equivalent practical experience.
- Evidence of exceptional technical ability through projects, research, competition results, or founding work.
- Fluent or native-level German proficiency at C1 or above.
- Clear communication, ownership, and comfort in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
