Responsibilities
- Plan and order commercial satellite imagery from optical, SAR, thermal, and elevation providers.
- Develop acquisition strategies balancing coverage, quality, timeline, and cost.
- Design and coordinate large-scale satellite tasking campaigns.
- Translate customer and product requirements into feasible acquisition plans.
- Act as a technical contact for satellite data providers, platform partners, and internal teams.
- Build tools and dashboards supporting acquisition planning.
- Maintain documentation on providers, data products, and workflows.
- Support sales and product teams in scoping customer solutions and contribute to long-term data strategy.
Requirements
- Degree in geoinformatics, remote sensing, geodesy, computer science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with commercial Earth observation data and satellite tasking.
- Good understanding of Earth observation satellite tasking and image products.
- Strong Python skills, ideally with geospatial libraries.
- Knowledge of geospatial data formats and coordinate reference systems.
- Familiarity with STAC and API-based data access.
- Familiarity with agentic coding.
- Business-fluent English and German.
- Strong communication skills and a structured, detail-oriented working style.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda and S3 is preferred.
- Background in SAR or elevation data products, infrastructure monitoring, and multi-sensor acquisition planning is preferred.
