Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, and maintain test tools, test cases, and automation frameworks for current and next-generation software platforms.
- Plan, write, execute, and automate functional and data validation test plans based on requirements and designs.
- Design and implement end-to-end test strategies with emphasis on extensibility, scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams on release planning, coordination, and QA environment maintenance.
- Conduct defect identification, research, analysis, documentation, resolution, and closure activities.
- Support unit-test reviews, issue diagnosis, and resolution with development teams.
- Analyze data health and consistency and investigate root causes of issues.
- Document and communicate framework functions, interfaces, performance criteria, test cases, and results.
- Estimate effort, schedule tasks, and deliver work according to project milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 4 to 5 years of technical experience as an SDET or similar professional.
- At least 2 years of applied professional experience in an object-oriented programming language.
- Experience developing and testing in Java.
- Experience developing tests with Selenium libraries.
- Experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling test automation frameworks.
- Strong experience developing and implementing end-to-end test strategies.
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including code standards and reviews, source control, building, and testing.
- Understanding of Agile development and experience working in Agile environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively across organizational levels.
- Preferred experience integrating software test automation into CI/CD processes using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux.
- Preferred experience with microservice architecture, backend testing, API testing, and Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
