Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions that support customer experiences and regulatory needs.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, perform targeted refactoring, reduce technical debt, and improve system performance.
- Mentor engineers and influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field such as statistics, economics, operations research, analytics, mathematics, or engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and 3+ years of database, cloud, frontend framework, API, testing, version-control, or cloud troubleshooting experience.
- Preferred: experience with open-source frameworks, AI coding tools and IDE copilots, observability, mentoring, cross-functional engineering leadership, large-scale technical initiatives, and enforcing coding standards and design patterns.

- Full-time annual salary ranges are $197,300–$225,100 in McLean, Virginia and $215,200–$245,600 in New York, New York; the role may also include performance-based incentive compensation.
