Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend and full-stack software solutions hosted on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, UX, Infrastructure, and Platform teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Lead technical design and architecture decisions balancing immediate needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Establish engineering best practices and drive cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines while supporting testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Develop software and agentic workflows using modern technologies to support construction technology products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong fundamentals, Test Driven Development, and system design expertise.
- Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Java, React, Python, Go, or similar technologies.
- Experience working with software, platforms, and infrastructure at scale, including thousands of hosts and millions of users.
- Expertise building and maintaining modern Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems at scale.
- Extensive modern web development experience across development, testing, staging, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience leading large technical initiatives and adapting course corrections as needed.
- Ability to balance short-term and long-term technical and strategic goals.
