Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for structural optimization in collaboration with computational structural engineers.
- Manage the software development process from initial concept through final release.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and test software components.
- Design and implement scalable software solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5–12 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing scalable software and leading software teams.
- Strong proficiency with Python and software design practices.
- Desirable experience with C# and scientific computation libraries such as NumPy, scikit-spatial, Shapely, and OpenSeesPy.
- Desirable experience with desktop GUI frameworks such as PySide6 or Tkinter.
- Desirable experience with desktop development design patterns such as MVVM.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, ownership, attention to detail, and technical mentoring skills.
