Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java 21+ and Spring Boot microservices and high-performance backend services.
- Design and implement secure RESTful APIs with versioning, idempotency, error handling, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
- Apply microservices, distributed transaction, bounded-context, service-decomposition, and Saga patterns.
- Develop event-driven systems and asynchronous messaging integrations using Apache Kafka.
- Implement application security practices including OAuth2, JWT, secure coding, and vulnerability remediation.
- Optimize JVM performance, profiling, caching, latency, resource utilization, SQL queries, indexes, and query execution plans.
- Design and operate cloud-native and serverless AWS solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
- Develop backend services with Node.js and NestJS and use Python or other scripting tools for automation.
- Develop Vue.js frontend applications, reusable UI components, client-side validation, state management, and REST API integrations.
- Write unit and integration tests, troubleshoot complex issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Use AI-assisted tools for coding, debugging, testing, reviews, documentation, production support, log analysis, and ticket summarization.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, collaborate with QA and engineering teams, and participate in on-call and incident-resolution activities.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience developing backend software with Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, RESTful API design, and event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on experience with API design, integration, authentication, authorization, and application security.
- Practical experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent event-streaming technologies.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, including query optimization and indexing.
- Experience building and operating applications on AWS, including serverless services.
- Understanding of unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD, observability, production troubleshooting, and secure development practices.
- Working knowledge of Vue.js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript, including frontend components, REST API integration, and UI troubleshooting.
- Experience with Node.js and NestJS; familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation and tooling.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools and interest in applying AI to improve productivity and software quality.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS cloud-native application experience, distributed transaction and resilience strategies, caching, performance optimization, AI workflow automation, architectural decision-making, code reviews, and mentoring.
