Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and ship end-to-end features across desktop, backend, and web applications.
- Contribute to the codebase for up to 60% of the time, focusing on high-complexity work, technical enablers, and proof-of-concept implementations.
- Design and implement robust, scalable backend architectures with high availability and performance.
- Maintain and lead the technical roadmap in alignment with business goals.
- Document technical architectures, workflows, and processes.
- Gather requirements, rigorously test components, and deliver impactful features with stakeholders.
- Drive code quality through code reviews, testing procedures, and development best practices.
- Collaborate with the CTO and CEO on strategic technical initiatives.
- Mentor and lead software engineers after establishing product ownership and successful codebase contributions.
- Support recruitment and the scaling of the software engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–12 years of software development experience, including developing, maintaining, and scaling production-level applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Qt, application architectures such as MVVM, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience and willingness to contribute substantially to the codebase rather than serving only as a technical manager.
- Preferred familiarity with AWS, serverless frameworks, and DynamoDB.
- Startup mentality, product and ownership mindset, effective communication, and mission orientation.
