Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, technical art, art, QA, DevOps, and development services teams on automated testing solutions, shared tooling, and testing environments.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and extend automated test frameworks and testing infrastructure for Unreal Engine systems and reusable gameplay modules.
  • Migrate, integrate, and validate shared automation solutions across projects and development environments.
  • Investigate, debug, and resolve issues involving automation, integrations, testing environments, CI/CD pipelines, and build infrastructure.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering standards across QA automation codebases.
  • Improve the testability, reliability, scalability, and maintainability of shared systems.
  • Monitor and maintain CI/CD pipelines and resolve build and test failures.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in QA Engineering, test automation, or software testing, preferably in the gaming industry.
  • Experience with C++, particularly in Unreal Engine environments.
  • Knowledge of automated testing, tooling, and testing infrastructure in Unreal Engine environments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and testing solutions.
  • Ability to analyze, debug, and troubleshoot complex technical issues across systems, integrations, and development environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple disciplines and teams.
  • Experience shipping an Unreal Engine game for Xbox or PlayStation is preferred.
  • Prior Unreal Engine experience or strong development-side Unreal Engine knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with Docker, AWS, or GCP is preferred.
  • Programming or scripting experience with Python, TypeScript, or C# is preferred.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine performance profiling, debugging, validation tooling, asset processing, digital content authoring tools, proprietary game engine tools, shared tooling, reusable systems, or cross-project technical initiatives is preferred.
