Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of complex systems and services for scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and senior engineers.
- Drive code quality, testing, maintainability, and continuous improvement practices.
- Conduct code reviews and help improve development processes.
- Influence the engineering roadmap by identifying technology gaps, scaling challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Research and evaluate tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve team efficiency and scalability.
- Provide technical guidance while troubleshooting and debugging complex production issues.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding engineering team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in a senior- or staff-level engineering role.
- Expertise designing and building full stack applications.
- Strong programming skills in Ruby on Rails.
- Experience leading engineering initiatives and mentoring engineers.
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional influence and decision-making.
