Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction of the Insights practice management platform as it scales to thousands of practices and millions of users.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack solutions using ReactJS, Python, and PostgreSQL.
- Improve system reliability and observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting practices.
- Optimize web application performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and backend teams to improve availability and resilience.
- Mentor and guide engineers while fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Lead and deliver high-impact projects in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
- Conduct code reviews and drive architectural improvements across the stack.
- Partner with product and design teams to build intuitive experiences for healthcare providers and staff.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience focused on scalable full-stack applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript with React or Vue, Python, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable, reliable, and performant web applications.
- Experience leading multi-month, high-impact projects and balancing technical trade-offs.
- Strong knowledge of React fundamentals, frontend performance optimization, state management, and component-driven design.
- Experience designing APIs, working with complex backend systems, and optimizing database performance.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices.
- Ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience scaling frontend applications in high-traffic environments and diagnosing React performance bottlenecks.
- Preferred product intuition and experience influencing UX/UI decisions.
- Preferred experience with data visualization, interactive analytics dashboards, frontend developer tooling, and modern API patterns including GraphQL, REST, gRPC, and BFF architectures.
- Open-source contributions or a strong engineering blog presence are welcomed.
- Experience in regulated industries with a focus on security and compliance is preferred.
