Base Salary
$106k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Integrate systems and improve, optimize, and increase the robustness of existing code.
- Define, build, and manage virtual cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Design and implement core software architecture and capabilities from prototype through operational applications.
- Deploy and manage operating systems, containers, Kubernetes environments, and related automation.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex technical problems while working toward broader team strategy.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- Five or more years of Platform Engineering or Software Development experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; or three years of relevant experience with a master’s degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent with nine years of relevant experience.
- Experience with OS deployment and orchestration tools such as Kickstart, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes or a vendor distribution of Kubernetes.
- Experience with Docker or Podman container build tooling and Kubernetes automation tools such as Helm, Kustomize, or Flux CD.
- Programming experience with Python or Go.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, and applications, plus Shell or Bash scripting proficiency.
- Preferred experience with OS and container hardening, AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipeline automation, security clearances, Big Data systems, and relevant DoD compliance certifications.
- Strong problem-solving, oral communication, and written communication skills.
