Base Salary
$165k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain infrastructure and tooling that power Kalepa’s core platform.
- Maintain deployment pipelines and automate operational workflows.
- Improve infrastructure performance and reliability while monitoring and optimizing system costs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to standardize environments and deployment patterns.
- Maintain observability and incident response processes.
- Support the security, compliance, and scalability of cloud-based systems.
- Collaborate with full-stack, data, machine learning, and DevOps engineers to build scalable backend solutions.
Requirements
- At least five years of software engineering or DevOps experience, ideally including CI/CD pipelines, security, performance, and infrastructure work.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Python, with strong candidates from other object-oriented programming backgrounds also considered.
- Experience with serverless technologies including Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
- Comfort with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of Terraform, infrastructure-as-code best practices, and Docker or similar tools.
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI, or distributed systems is a bonus.
- Ability to take ownership, drive projects to completion with minimal oversight, communicate proactively, and iterate through experimentation.
