Base Salary
$100k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor cloud-native services, compute instances, virtual networks, and identity policies within secure classified cloud enclaves.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Kubernetes clusters and their integration with API gateways, Cilium network fabrics, and local container registries.
- Coordinate and execute software and platform updates in air-gapped or restricted-connectivity environments.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity, routing, IAM permission, and API rate-limiting issues.
- Act as the on-site cloud subject matter expert and technical liaison for government customers.
- Provide hands-on training, workshops, and documentation for application developers onboarding workloads.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- At least 5 years of systems engineering experience, including 2–3 years focused on architecture and operations in government or classified cloud regions.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes architecture, cluster operations, and debugging cloud-native application stacks.
- Practical knowledge of cloud routing, secure API gateways, security groups, IAM roles and policies, and cross-domain solution paths.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience defending technical designs to government representatives and training technical users.
- Preferred: hands-on live-production incident response and experience resolving critical control-plane or etcd failures.
- Preferred: advanced use of telemetry, API server audit logs, distributed tracing, and metrics for production root-cause analysis.
