Base Salary
$140k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test strategies, plans, and automated suites for Android applications, REST APIs, and Clover SDK integrations.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and scripts using UIAutomator, Espresso, Java, and Python for a custom robot automation lab.
- Diagnose intermittent failures and regressions across hardware, operating systems, SDKs, APIs, and network protocols.
- Configure and optimize Jenkins pipelines for regression testing, smoke testing, and release gating.
- Collaborate with development, product, and hardware teams on requirements, test coverage, and design for testability.
- File and track defects in Jira, conduct post-mortem analysis, and provide technical direction and code review support to quality and development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6–10 years of progressive experience in Software Quality Engineering, SDET, or Software Development.
- Hands-on experience building and extending test automation frameworks with Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience testing Android OS applications, including adb debugging, logcat analysis, Android Studio, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Jenkins pipelines, Bash shell scripting, Git, SQL/MySQL, and Linux/Unix environments accessed through SSH.
- Ability to independently prioritize complex work, troubleshoot intricate systems, and deliver reliable results.
- Preferred experience with UIAutomator, Espresso, Appium, POS hardware, mobile payments, terminal SDKs, EMV/PCI architectures, WebSockets, USB, Bluetooth, cloud bridges, Groovy, Ruby, or JavaScript.
